Educational leave gives employees the opportunity to take between 2 and 12 months off work and devote themselves to training and further education – without terminating their employment relationship.
During this time, the employee receives further training allowance from the AMS in the amount of the unemployment benefit. Additional earnings up to the marginal earnings threshold of EUR 475.86 per month (2021) are permitted during educational leave. There is no financial support for the training costs.
Part-time education gives employees the opportunity to reduce their working hours by between 4 and 24 months and thus devote themselves to training and further education – without terminating their employment relationship. The reduction can be between 25 % and 50 % of the current scope of work.
During this time, the employee receives part-time education allowance from the Public Employment Service in the amount of 84 cents per reduced working hour per day (e.g: You reduce from 40 to 30 hours per week and therefore receive 10 x 0.84 x 30 (if June) = 252 euros).
In previous years, the AMS often promoted individual training and further education. In the meantime, however, the financing of training in adult education by the Labor Market Service is the exception rather than the rule. The “Graz Fund for Advancement and Development” (GraF0) is an offer for working Graz residents aged between 18 and 64 with a low household income. The Labor and Employment Department of the Social Welfare Office promotes courses, further training and retraining with a focus on professional development. Funding of up to 2,500 euros per person possible.

You can start Module 1 at any time after registering in the Online Academy. You will learn everything about the course structure, what you need and how you can prepare.
As the training really starts with the basics, particularly important topics are covered straight away: product theory and basic knowledge about make-up, which is then also relevant for the first practical day on site (which you book in the studio of your choice).
You’ll get to know your crew and your trainer & it’s off to the practical part of the course where you’ll also do your own make-up for the first time!
Module 2 is about the most popular of all eyeshadow techniques: The beauty technique, the basis for various evening or bridal make-ups.
In addition, the big topic of facial measurement will be worked out together so that you can perfectly match the make-up to your customers in the future.
The Mindset & Business Academy is all about self-management and how to organize your future customers.
Module 3 is all about the freestyle of every professional – smokey eyes. We take your shading skills to the next level.
We look at the power of first impressions, how you can really impress customers and turn them into regular customers.
Color theory is one of the most important areas of knowledge for a make-up artist. You will learn how to perfectly match the make-up to the type and how to use your materials skilfully.
Module 4 has particularly important content, one of which is social media – your #1 advertising tool!
You will learn about the most important platforms and how to build your own personal community in a short space of time.
Without a beautiful base – no beautiful make-up. Therefore, you will learn everything about the structure of the skin and the right care.
Photo shoot make-up & red carpet looks are the next make-up techniques on the program – this is how you will ensure the absolute WOW effect in the future!
Then we finally come to module 5 – where everything we have learned is repeated and perfected.
Since we not only want to make you Dipl. If you want to train make-up artists, but also business ladies, this module provides information on pricing and sales.
In practice, we focus on various Instagram and trend make-up looks and perfecting your skills!
I spent a long time looking for a suitable apprenticeship (with taster days etc.) and came across Cambio by chance and signed up without a taster because I really liked the videos.
