Training as a Lash Stylist Basic

Course structure of the basic course (30UE):
all course days take place from 09:30 – 17:00

Step 1: Specialist theory in an online course (10UE)
You will learn all the technical basics of eyelash extensions and practise at home for the first time on your practice head, which will be sent to you.

Step 2: Entry into practice (10UE) – first day of practice in the studio in Linz (small group)
You will get into the practice with full momentum, gain your first practical experience on the model and, under the supervision of your trainer, practise gluing the eyelashes using the 1:1 technique directly on two models. You need the first model at 09:30, the second at 13:30.

After that you have about 4 weeks to practise at home.

Step 3: Consolidation day (10UE)- Practical day in the studio in Linz (small group)
What has been learned will be deepened again on this day and details will be worked out. Training is carried out on 3 models and the dexterity required for this work is developed. You will familiarize yourself with all facets of the treatment so that you can then start working independently. You need the models on the day at 09:30 and 12:30 and 15:00. You will then receive a certificate upon successful completion of the course day.

Model fee: €10 per model | 5 models required in the course in total (currently without eyelash extensions), working on models at home required

Introduction and basics

• Introduction to eyelash extension techniques and methods
• Overview of different eyelash types, curves and lengths
• Hygiene and safety measures in the workplace
• Customer meetings and advice

Anatomy and growth cycle of the eyelashes:

• Basic understanding of the natural eyelash structure
• Knowledge of the eyelash growth cycle
• Identification of contraindications and allergies

Materials and tools:

• Presentation of the different types of eyelash extensions
• Selection of adhesives, tweezers and other tools
• Care and storage of materials

Preparation and application:

• Preparation of the workplace and the customer
• Preparation of natural eyelashes before application
• Practical exercises for applying eyelash extensions
• Various application techniques and styles

Eyelash extension techniques:

● Individual eyelash extensions (one-by-one technique)

Follow-up treatment and care:

• Advice for customers on eyelash care and maintenance
• Refill of eyelash extensions
• Problem solving and dealing with possible complications

In some federal states, the additional training course “Anatomy for Lash Artists / Medical Training” of 20 units as an online course is required for business registration. (310€net)

The basics of eyelash extensions:

• Overview of the different eyelash extension techniques
• Repetition of individual eyelash extensions (one-by-one technique)
• Comparison of single and volume extension

Volume eyelash extensions – introduction:

• Explanation of the volume technique
• Differences between classic eyelash extensions and volume extensions
• Advantages and areas of application of volume technology

Materials and tools for the volume technique:

• Presentation of volume lashes (ultra-thin lashes)
• Selection of suitable adhesives for volume extension
• Special tweezers for volume enhancement

Fanning techniques:

• Explanation of the different fan techniques (2D, 3D, 4D, etc.)
• Creating lash fans with multiple lashes
• Exercises in fan technology

Application techniques:

• Preparation of natural eyelashes for volume extension
• Placement of the lash fans on the natural lashes
• Practical exercises for applying the volume extender

Styling and effects:

• Creating different looks with the volume extender
• Creating various effects (Cat Eye, Doll Eye, Natural Volume etc.)
• Advice for customers on choosing the desired look

Follow-up treatment and care:

• Tips and tricks for eyelash care after volume extensions
• Filling and removal processes for volume lashes
• Dealing with possible complications and problem solutions

Model fee: €10,- per model | 2 models required (without current eyelash extensions) one at 11:30 and one at 14:30.

The volume technology training course can be attended as an extension (10UE – one practical day)
